Our dining tables are often the focal point of family life. Our table tops have a 42 mm solid top so if damaged or scratched over time it is a simple matter of sanding the table back and resurfacing the top. Remember, they are built to withstand the rigours of family life. The timber top is finished with a heat and water resistant spray. This means it can take hot drinks and spillages although a placemat is recommended for very hot items such as a casserole dish and anything with a rough base to prevent scratching. Some tables are available with an extension. All tables can have turned or straight legs. Plain or felt lined cutlery drawers are available in some tables as an optional extra.
The way we connect our table tops to the base is a very traditional method using a buttoned screw into a timber block which allows for the timber to expand and contract. This helps to prevent splitting or warping.
Chairs
One of the most important features of our chair is that we have one solid back leg rail that runs right through, and this particular feature is a real strength of all the chairs we make. All joints on our chairs are firstly dowelled, glued and then for extra support have a glue block that is also glued and then screwed into all the supporting rails. Back rails and supporting features of the upper part of the chair not only add to the style of the chair but are also there to give support to the lower back.
Some chairs are upholstered, some have timber seats and there are several more options available. The Strathallan is available with a high or low back and all chairs have the option of turned or straight legs.
Bar Stools
Our bar stool can be made to suit your bench height and can be manufactured with or without a back.
Bench Seats
Available in Trestle or Classic style and made to suit your table length.
